Jonathan Leibovitz, 2022 prize-winner at the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) and Concert Artists Guild (New York) International Auditions held at Wigmore Hall.  Jonathan is a winner of 2022 Arthur Waser prize from the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.

Winner of the 2021 Crusell International Clarinet Competition and former member of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, is one of the most promising clarinetists of his generation. Prior to his success at the Crusell Competition, Jonathan won other competitions such as the Aviv Competition of the American Israel Cultural foundation and the Israeli wind competition.

Jonathan started his soloist career in 2015 playing the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, afterwards playing as a soloist with orchestras such as The Israeli Chamber Orchestra, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra, The Lapland Chamber Orchestra and others. As a chamber musician, Jonathan established the “Avir” wind quintet with other young excellent musicians, played with the Israeli Contemporary Players and “Meitar Ensemble”.

Jonathan started his musical education with Eva Wasserman, continued his studies with Yevgeny Yehudin at the Buchmann Mehta School of Music and now completes his master’s degree with François Benda at the Music Academy Basel.
